About the Event...

Spring Festival: The Best of BC Wines Uncorked is a semi-annual wine tasting event that showcases new and current releases from top BC wineries and raises funds for the Port Moody Arts Centre. The event is being held at the Port Moody City Hall Galleria on Saturday, May 25th, 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. This season we are pleased to be featuring over thirty-five of the best BC wineries!

John Gerum of West Coast Wine Education, and co-host of the event, remarks: “There are many wineries in the Okanagan that are unique due to the micro climate and soil types found in various sub-regions. The Spring wine tasting will focus in on the seven different sub-regions within the Okanagan Valley, and the wineries will be listed by the sub-regions they belong to. Maps displaying these regions will be available for attendees, along with the list of the wineries presenting their wines.”

Support the local BC economy while sampling tantalizing wines from over 35 local and Okanagan wineries. The wineries will be tasting over 125 types of vintages, including some new releases!

Ticket Price

We know that that everyone is still thinking about how to spend their hard earned money. So, we're committed to offering incredible value for your $45.00 inclusive per person ticket price (price includes a $2.50 box office fee and tax).

Event General Details
Join us for this exciting event on Saturday, May 25th from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Your ticket price includes free parking, access to the event at the Port Moody City Hall Galleria, samples of all available wines, light snacks (please note that we do recommend eating prior to the event), and live background music. Taxis will be on-site at the end of the event to ensure a safe ride home for guests that wish to use them.

There are 3 easy ways to purchase tickets. You can click here to book online or on your mobile phone, you can call the Port Moody Arts Centre directly at 604.931.2008 to book by phone (Box Office is open 10am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, 10am to 5pm Friday & Saturday and 12pm to 4pm on Sundays) or you can drop into the Port Moody Arts Centre to purchase tickets on-site at 2425 St. John's Street - it's that simple!

Legal & Important Stuff
Guests must be 19 years or older to attend this event, no minors will be permitted into the venue. To ensure you are able to enjoy your evening, please arrange for a designated driver or alternate transportation as we encourage the responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. Servings of wine will be up to two ounces per glass. Maximum legal consumption is two ounces per hour.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy the array of available samples by swirling, sniffing, sipping and spitting.

To enhance the enjoyment of this evening for yourself and all guests, please refrain from wearing leather, perfume, cologne, or strong soaps.
